Have you ever heard of Twitter? It is a micro-blogging and social networking websites that allows you to post 140 character message to different people. It is like a free text messaging system that allows you to send messages to your Twitter friends. It is widely used right now but I don’t know if many Filipinos are using this online “phenomena”. I think not because when I checked on the Google Trends with a Geographical Location: Philippines, to see if many Filipinos searched for the keyword: twitter, the site returns “Your terms – twitter – do not have enough search volume to show graphs.” which only means that few are twitting and following twitters. When I search for the keyword: friendster, a rising chart of line graph can be seen which only shows that many Filipinos are fond of the said social networking website: Friendster.com. Actually I have an account on Friendster, but I’m not that photogenic and I don’t have a lot of pictures to display so I’m not maintaining it frequently.
