I’ve seen a movement on the PageRank (PR) of different sites today. It seems that Google is slowly updating it of different website today. Almost all the websites that I am working on already change their PRs. Some did increase from PR0 to PR3 while others decreases their values. Right now, I’ve seen that nothing have change on my current PR. I was expecting at least to increase it to PR4 but it seems because of my busy schedules on different projects, I wasn’t able to fully focus on building a lot of links for the site. I am just hoping that this current PR will not change anymore. I know that a lot of people is saying that this doesn’t really matter at all but still its a online status symbol that if you don’t have it, it seems that you do not belong to a circle. Of course it doesn’t mean that you have a low PR then it is not possible to gain a lot of traffic. Actually PR and traffic does have a slight relevance as PR as define by Google as “page importance” which only mean that “your site will be preferred more if you have the higher importance” thus increases the possibility of being ranked higher on result pages.
I have one blog that increases its PR and jump to PR3, that is my Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009 blog. I am not expecting it to have such PR because I wasn’t able to really work on the site. Well maybe it is just a plain luck that I gain that PR or maybe just the effect of the “Orion algorithm” newly applied by Google. 🙂
Well how about you, did you get your new PageRank updated?
one of my blogs went from 0 to 2. usually my sites gain pr gradually. i guess google really likes this one. makes all the work worth it.
So far no change in PR in all my blogs. I’ll check it every now and then to see if some of my blogs will go up or go down.
My PR increased from PR1 to PR2 when Google had an update. But unfortunately, after just days of holding on to that PR2, it went back to PR0. I don’t know why…
Maybe it was penalized because of the paid reviews/blog post on your site. Remove them and apply for reconsideration from Google, it will return!
I’ve just had my site move up to PR3 from PR0 too. I must be doing something right 🙂
I just wrote about this and then found your post.
I love that feeling when you visit a site after an update and your pr has increased. Makes all that time creating content and building links worth it 🙂
yes I know the feeling 🙂 Thanks for passing by Kelly.
